Emergency Nurses deploy across a range of profiles including ward, paediatrics, midwifery, operating theatre, supervisory/teaching and staff health management. Deployments will be as part of a multi-disciplinary team (including non-clinical profiles) and is expected to promote and ensure the delivery of high quality patient care. They are at the core of developing and implementing best practice in clinical environments through building capacity through the training of local staff.
A strong interest in a number of the above profiles is key, with an interest/adaptability to gain skills in these areas. However, we do not expect all applicants to be already proficient in all of the aforementioned profiles. All Emergency Nurses need to be able to operate effectively in what can be a frenetic environment which is often remote and resource poor and within a multi-cultural team.
