Child Development Coordinator

  • Part time position
  • 52 hours per fortnight
  • Randwick location, oversee Parramatta, Gosford, Nowra

The Role

Coordinate, develop and deliver child focussed interventions at Young Parents Program (YPP). Train staff and volunteers in best practice child development, support young parents with complex needs and behaviours to develop independent parenting skills and ensuring best outcomes for children.

Exercise initiative and specialised judgement within the area of child welfare and child protection, making sound and thorough assessment regarding the health, progress of child development, welfare and wellbeing of YPP children and young parents.

About You

You have a thorough understanding of child development needs, assessment and implementation strategies to support children and families, particularly in vulnerable communities and for child with complex needs and behaviours. You can manage large groups of children and have experience in adolescent development and behaviours and can demonstrate sensitivity to the needs and issues facing young parents.
