The role

Operating from within a collaborative client services hub in a one-to-one appointment context, the focus of caseworkers in our Migration Support Program is to prevent and reduce the vulnerability of people affected by migration through provision of case management and community development services.

Manage a caseload and maintain accurate client records, develop and implement case plans for clients in the context of a migration process and conduct comprehensive assessments of needs for clients from diverse backgrounds.

About you

With extensive experience in casework, ideally within a health or welfare setting, you will have a demonstrated understanding of issues faced by recent arrivals to Australia and the ability to deliver complex and sensitive information to them in a culturally appropriate and respectful way.

A natural team player, you will seek meaningful ways to engage Red Cross staff from other programs, our volunteer staff and the wider community.
